On December 8, at 14:35 local time (10:35 GMT), the seismological network of the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs recorded a 2.2 magnitude earthquake with a depth of 10 km in the Armenia-Azerbaijan border zone, 13 km northeast of the city of Jermuk, at geographical coordinates 39.92⁰ north latitude and 45.73⁰ east longitude.
The intensity of the tremor in the epicenter zone was 2-3 points.
The earthquake was felt in the city of Jermuk and the villages of Kechut and Gndevaz in the Vayots Dzor region, with a magnitude of 1-2 points.
