In Brussels, RA Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan participated and spoke at the panel discussion titled “Eastern Partnership Policy Beyond 2027: Giving New Momentum to the Eastern Partnership” organized within the framework of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum Summit.
In his speech, the RA Deputy Foreign Minister touched upon the development of Armenia-EU relations, presenting the document “Armenia-EU Partnership Strategic Agenda”. Vahan Kostanyan noted that the new document sets ambitious goals for the Armenia-EU partnership, including in the security, cybersecurity, and economic sectors.
The RA Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized the political and geographical changes taking place within the framework of the EU’s Eastern Neighborhood and its Eastern Policy, and highlighted the importance of cooperation with Central Asian countries, interconnection, and economic cooperation.
Referring to the new EU Strategy for the Black Sea Region, Vahan Kostanyan noted that the driving force of cooperation after 2027 will be the economic pillar, while emphasizing the EaP values - the rule of law, the protection of human rights and democracy, considering them essential components for the effective implementation of economic and connectivity initiatives.
