All the main work aimed at removing Armenia from the EU aviation "blocklist" has been done by Armenia. The shortcomings have been eliminated, and in response to "Armenpress" 's inquiry, the Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia stated that it referred to the comments of the High Commissioner for Enlargement Policy of the European Union, Marta Kos, on Armenia's inclusion on the EU aviation "blocklist".
"In early September, the EU conducted an assessment visit to Armenia. The shortcomings recorded during that visit were exclusively technical. They do not have a direct impact on flight safety. During the visit, they visited two Armenian airlines and also recorded some shortcomings, which are again technical and do not affect flight safety. Moreover, these shortcomings have been eliminated by the airlines during this time. The Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia presented all its work in detail in Brussels two weeks ago. We can say that all the main shortcomings have been eliminated, and those issues that require long-term work are, of course, in progress. "In addition, we should add that the corrective action plan was sent to EU partners in advance, which was also discussed during that meeting in Brussels," the committee's response states.
