The Holy Geghard, the Godly, will be brought out

On November 29, the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church will celebrate the feast of the first enlighteners of Armenia, the apostles St. Thaddeus and St. Bartholomew. By the canonical decree of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, the feast of the apostles has also been declared the day of the Holy Geghard, the Godly.

A Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin during which the Holy Geghard, the Godly, will be brought out and will remain in the Mother Cathedral for the worship of the faithful until 6:00 p.m.

On the day before the feast, on November 28, at 5:30 p.m. during the evening service, a pre-holiday service will be held in the Mother Cathedral, during which the relics of the apostles St. Thaddeus and St. Bartholomew will be brought out.
