RA Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan participated in the opening ceremony of the Armenian branch of the Armenia-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFA).
"The presence of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Armenia will open new opportunities for attracting French capital, creating joint ventures, and for products manufactured in Armenia to enter the French and European markets," noted Gevorg Papoyan.
The Minister expressed confidence that the Chamber will become a platform where new ideas and new initiatives for both Armenian and French companies will meet.
CCIFA has been serving as a platform for economic dialogue and strategic cooperation between Armenia and France for more than 30 years. The goal of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry is to promote bilateral investments, develop competitive industries, and foster a stable, long-term economic partnership between Armenia and France.
The event was attended by Olivier Decotigny, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Armenia, Lilia Sirakanian, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, and other representatives of the business community and diplomatic community.
The event was held at the Yerevan Brandy Factory CJSC to celebrate Armenian-French friendship. The opening of CCIFA was preceded by a tour of the factory museum led by Gevorg Papoyan, during which Executive Director Sergey Khachatryan presented the factory's history and products.
