Within the framework of his working visit to the United Arab Emirates, RA Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan met on November 17 with His Highness Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the UAE, and the Crown Prince of Dubai.
RA Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the UAE Karen Grigoryan also participated in the meeting. Several issues related to the potential for RA-UAE defense cooperation were discussed.
The parties expressed their willingness to develop bilateral cooperation in the defense sector between the two countries and, to this end, signed an agreement on cooperation between the RA and the UAE in the defense sector. According to this agreement, the main directions of cooperation will be established.
Issues related to regional and international security were also discussed.
