The sun emitted the most powerful radiation

On the morning of November 11, the Sun put on a real show, releasing a powerful X5.1 solar flare: it was the strongest of 2025 and the largest since October 2024.

The radiation wave caused severe (R3 level) radio outages in areas of Europe and Africa, disrupting high-frequency communications.

NOAA's Space Weather Prediction Center notes that the CME caused by the latest flare could reach Earth at noon on November 12. It is moving at a speed of about 7 million kilometers per hour, promising another hot test for our magnetic field.

According to scientists, this could be the prelude to several days of intense solar storms that could disrupt the operation of satellites, navigation systems, and power grids.
