The American company Blue Origin has postponed the launch of its massive New Glenn rocket, which was scheduled to carry NASA's Mars exploration instruments from the Florida station on November 9, due to unfavorable weather conditions. The next attempt is scheduled for November 12.
The instruments are designed to study the effects of the solar wind and space weather on the planet's atmosphere. The ESCAPADE mission is NASA's first such project in the last five years, with a budget of approximately $80 million.
Blue Origin will continue to collaborate with the FAA and NASA to ensure a safe launch and a suitable window for the forecasted weather conditions.
