The number of permanent residents in Armenia has increased. As of October 1, 2025, the permanent population was 3 million 90,500 people, while on the same day of the previous year, it was 3 million 67,400.
The urban population in October 2025 was 1,977.4 thousand, and the rural population was 1,113.1 thousand.
The majority of the population is concentrated in the capital, Yerevan, with 1,144.7 thousand people, and 49.6 thousand people reside in the region with the lowest population.
