Levon Azizyan, director of the Center for Hydrometeorology and Monitoring SNCO, announced on his social media page that the strongest geomagnetic storm of this year is expected tomorrow.
Currently, even in a weakened form (excluding nighttime emissions), the forecasts from the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences indicate storms in the G3-G4 range, corresponding to a moderate to extreme level. In the event of recalculation during the day, this range is likely to shift to the G4-G5 (extremely strong) range.
This means that disturbances in the Earth’s magnetic field can have a significant impact on both technical systems and human well-being.
What can a magnetic storm do to us?
As a rule, the disorders it causes negatively affect the elderly and people with weakened immune systems. Those who are sensitive to this phenomenon may experience fatigue, headaches, malaise, fluctuations in blood pressure, and poor concentration.
How to protect yourself:
During magnetic storms, doctors recommend maintaining a diet rich in fruits and vegetables while avoiding animal fats. Drinking plenty of water also helps a lot. Spend a few hours in the fresh air.
