Germany has become one of Armenia's most reliable partners. Papoyan

On October 30, the Intergovernmental Commission on Financial and Technical Cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the Federal Republic of Germany held a meeting in Berlin, the capital of the Federal Republic of Germany, under the co-chairmanship of the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, Gevorg Papoyan.

The Armenian side of the commission was co-chaired by Gevorg Papoyan, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, and Niels Annen, State Secretary of the Federal Ministry for Economic Development and Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Germany co-chaired the German side.

During the meeting, the prospects for the development of bilateral trade and economic relations were discussed, in particular in the areas of trade, investments, import and export, development of micro and medium-sized enterprises, renewable energy, sustainable urban development, water resources management, agriculture, high technologies, tourism, and other areas.

“A strong, reliable and promising cooperation has been formed between Armenia and Germany, based on common values: democracy, the rule of law, human rights and inclusive economic growth. In recent years, Germany has become one of Armenia’s most reliable partners, both bilaterally and within the broader Armenia-EU framework. Today’s dialogue is another important step towards deepening this partnership and aligning our joint efforts with Armenia’s long-term vision of sustainable, green, and diverse development,” noted Gevorg Papoyan.

The RA Minister of Economy highlighted Germany’s support in Armenia in implementing political and economic reforms, sustainable development, promoting a green economy, and social integration.

In his speech, Gevorg Papoyan also emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation with Germany within the framework of Armenia-EU cooperation. The RA Ambassador to Germany, Viktor Yengibaryan, and the RA Deputy Minister of Economy, Anushik Avetyan, also attended the session.
