The delegation led by the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, Gevorg Papoyan, is in Berlin, the capital of the Federal Republic of Germany, from October 29 to 31. On October 29, the Minister met with more than 40 German businesspeople. The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Germany, Victor Yengibaryan, and the Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, Anushik Avetyan.
During the meeting, the Minister presented the opportunities and tools available in Armenia's investment environment. The Minister separately touched upon economic cooperation between the two countries, in particular in agriculture, energy, entrepreneurship development, technology, and telecommunications.
"Germany is already an important economic partner of Armenia, but I am convinced that the real potential is still ahead. "We aim to give new impetus to our bilateral trade and investment relations by encouraging direct investments from Germany and expanding cooperation in areas such as infrastructure, renewable energy, water resources management, agriculture, innovation, and technology," the Minister noted.
During the meeting, the Minister also answered questions of concern to the participants and listened to their suggestions.
