The Yerevan City Council has decided to give its consent to the installation of the “Female Figure” sculpture and the creation of a sculpture group next to the “Hunter” sculpture by sculptor Hakob Hakobyan in Yerevan’s H. Tumanyan Park.
Note that no changes are planned in the Yerevan community budget for the installation of the “Female Figure” sculpture by Hakob Hakobyan; the RA President’s Staff will cover the financial expenses. Hakob Hakobyan was born on May 16, 1923, in Alexandria, Egypt. In 1962, he repatriated to Armenia with his family; in 1963, he joined the Union of Artists of Armenia; in 1970, he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Armenia; and in 1977, he was awarded the “Mesrop Mashtots Order”.
