Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan hosted Her Majesty Queen Mathilde of Belgium at the government, who is on a working visit to our country.
The Prime Minister welcomed the Queen’s visit to Armenia and expressed hope that she would receive warm impressions from our country. Nikol Pashinyan emphasized Her Majesty’s leadership as a champion of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and added that Armenia is taking consistent steps to implement the commitments undertaken within the framework of the 2030 Agenda.
Queen Mathilde expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality and noted her impression of Armenia. Her Majesty emphasized the importance of supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals and implementing measures to that end. In this context, both sides emphasized the role of inclusive and quality education in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. They also touched on strengthening women's roles in society and the steps being taken in that direction.
They also exchanged views on efforts to establish peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan and to ensure stability in the region.
