New directions of CB cooperation are being discussed in Washington

On October 13-18, the Central Bank delegation is participating in the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank in Washington. The CB delegation includes: CB Governor Martin Galstyan, Deputy Governor Hovhannes Khachatryan, and Director of the Macroeconomic Department Hayk Avetisyan.

During the visit, in addition to participation in the main sessions and discussions, several working meetings are planned with partners from various international structures and financial institutions, including IMF Deputy Managing Director Bo Li, IMF Mission Chief Alexander Timan, IMF Middle East and Central Asia Department Director Jihad Azour, as well as representatives of UBS, BlackRock, Crédit Agricole, Bank of America, Raiffeisen Bank, Moodys and other organizations.

The discussions will focus on the development of financial markets, improving the effectiveness of monetary policy, and expanding international cooperation.
