Exchange of experience and development of skills

A training course on “Firefighting Tactics” was organized and held at the Russian-Armenian Humanitarian Response Center for the servicemen of the fire-rescue teams of the Yerevan City Rescue Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Rescue Service. The training was conducted by experts from the Civil Protection Department of the French Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Center’s instructors also participated.

Twenty-four rescue workers participated in the training. Within the framework of the training, video-practical training was organized, ensuring a comprehensive and intensive training experience.

“The goal of the training was to familiarize Armenian rescuers with the stages of fire development, revealing the nature of the fire, and understanding how to ensure safety. At the same time, being in different fire situations, carrying out firefighting operations in a closed thermal impact zone, and applying the knowledge gained,” said Bernard Janin.

The training sessions were conducted in a highly interactive and practical format, and participants received in-depth knowledge of fire development and gas exchange processes. They also studied the full range of professional duties of firefighters and conducted refined and experimental firefighting operations, ensuring maximum professionalism and continually improving their skills. During the practical phase of the training, the doctor on duty from the Emergency Medical Care Department of the Psychological Support and Medical Support Department monitored the health indicators of the rescuers, measuring blood pressure and saturation levels, to ensure a safe and controlled course of work.

As the French expert noted, the Armenian rescuers participated in the training not only actively but also with great enthusiasm, diligence, and high professional training. Their involvement contributed to the creation of an effective working environment, and the exchange of experiences between participants significantly deepened both theoretical and practical knowledge.

This indicates that the training was not only helpful but also a valuable experience for Armenian rescuers in terms of developing professional skills, acquiring new knowledge, and establishing practical cooperation with international partners. It has truly become a platform for mutual learning, exchanging new experiences, and creating a solid foundation for future collaboration.
