Quadrivalent influenza vaccine available

The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia reports that, ahead of the active period of acute respiratory infections, the Ministry has purchased the quadrivalent influenza vaccine and distributed it to all primary healthcare organizations.

Regardless of registration, all citizens can be vaccinated free of charge at a polyclinic or outpatient clinic.

To avoid complications from influenza, citizens in particular at-risk groups (pregnant women, children aged 6 months to 5 years, the elderly, chronically ill, healthcare workers, employees of closed organizations, and beneficiaries) are recommended to be vaccinated.

As a result of laboratory tests carried out within the framework of the surveillance epidemiological monitoring system over the past week, no influenza virus pathogens were detected in our country. Among other respiratory infections, rhinovirus, parainfluenza, adenovirus, metapneumovirus, and SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus disease pathogen, were observed.
