The 13th consular consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the Islamic Republic of Iran were held in Yerevan.
The Armenian delegation was headed by Secretary General of the RA Foreign Ministry Davit Karapetyan, and the Iranian delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran Vahid Jalalzadeh.
The agenda of the consultations included several issues related to the implementation of the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations, signed on April 24, 1963, as well as the rights and legitimate interests of citizens and legal entities of the two countries.
The parties emphasized the importance of continuing the efforts made by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries to deepen cooperation in the judicial, trade, economic, and scientific-educational spheres. As a result of the consultations, a memorandum was signed between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries.
