On September 9, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, Artur Poghosyan, received the Head of the Council of Europe Office in Armenia, Maxim  Longangue.

Artur Poghosyan thanked Maxim Longangue for the continuous support provided by the Council of Europe to Armenia's law enforcement system.

The President of the Council of Europe also thanked the Chairman of the Investigative Committee for his readiness and diverse cooperation.

During the meeting, programs for developing the capabilities of investigators were discussed, and areas for deepening cooperation were touched upon, in particular, the prevention and detection of cybercrimes, the improvement of the system for the protection of children and minors, and the introduction of new technologies in the Investigative Committee.

The parties noted that there is a solid basis for cooperation between the Investigative Committee and the Council of Europe Office for new initiatives.

At the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached on organizing joint training courses aimed at improving the professional capabilities of investigators.
