A cultural cooperation program was signed with China

Minister of Culture and Tourism Zhanna Andreasyan, who is on a working visit to China as part of the delegation of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, met with Chinese Minister of Culture and Tourism Sun Yili on September 2.

During the meeting, the ministers touched upon the current high level of Armenian-Chinese cooperation in the field of culture and its development prospects. The importance of expanding and deepening bilateral cultural ties was emphasized as an essential factor in strengthening friendship between peoples with millennia of history and rich cultures.

Minister Zhanna Andreasyan noted with satisfaction the recent active cooperation between leading museums of Armenia and China and the organization of joint exhibitions, which allows for a breath of fresh air in the Armenian-Chinese cultural dialogue.

Minister Sun Yili noted that the availability of direct flights between the two countries has created new opportunities for Armenian and Chinese tourists, making cultural tourism more dynamic and accessible.

The parties discussed the prospects for organizing joint cultural events, implementing joint programs within the framework of international organizations and initiatives, exchanging specialists, and disseminating experience and knowledge in the fields of cultural preservation and restoration.

At the end of the meeting, RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan and Chinese Minister of Culture and Tourism Sun Yeli signed a 2026-2029 cultural cooperation program between the RA Ministries of Education, Science, Culture and Sports and the PRC Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
