The Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, “Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center” SNCO issued a statement:
“On August 18 and 19, the ultraviolet radiation index is expected to be above normal in the republic. We urge you to avoid direct sunlight between 11:00 and 17:00.
On August 18-22, a high-level fire hazard situation is expected in the Ararat Valley, the foothills of Vayots Dzor, Aragatsotn, and Kotayk, as well as in Yerevan.”
