The construction process of the new Iran-Armenia power transmission line was discussed
Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia Vardan Kostanyan received a delegation led by Deputy Minister of Oil of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ahmad Zeraatkar. The meeting was also attended by General Director of Yerevan Thermal Power Plant CJSC Gevorg Poghosyan, Acting General Director of Power System Operator CJSC Narek Apitonian, Director of Trade Affairs of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company Abbas Yalan, Director of International Relations of the National Iranian Gas Company Mohammad Hossein Hosseini, and other sectoral specialists.
Vardan Kostanyan, welcoming the guests, emphasized the importance of deepening economic ties between the two countries, as evidenced by the involvement of Iranian companies in infrastructure projects implemented in Armenia.
Ahmad Zeraatkar expressed gratitude for the reception, noting that the close partnership formed between Armenia and Iran is achieving success in various fields.
During the meeting, issues related to the "Construction of the Iran-Armenia 400 kV overhead power line and corresponding substation" and "Gas for electricity" programs, planning for further cooperation, as well as other sectoral issues, were discussed. The parties agreed to continue the discussions.
