The air temperature will gradually decrease

Due to the penetration of a tropical warm air wave from the south, on August 8, a high thermal background is expected in the Ararat Valley, the foothills of Vayots Dzor, the valleys of Syunik, and Yerevan. In the period from 16:00 to 17:00, the temperature will be +39 ... +41 degrees. In the mentioned areas, as well as in the foothills of Aragatsotn and Kotayk, a high-level fire hazard is also expected in the next 5 days.

In Yerevan, on August 8 and 12, no precipitation is expected. On August 9-11, short-term rain and thunderstorms are possible in separate parts of the city in the evening, and during thunderstorms and in the evening, wind gusts are expected to reach 14-18 m/s.

In the regions, on August 9-12, short-term rain and thunderstorms are expected in separate areas. On August 8, no precipitation is expected.

Wind: southwest 2-5m/s, gusting to 17-20m/s in the afternoon. In the evenings of August 8-12, wind gusting to 15-18m/s is expected in Armavir, Kotayk, and Aragatsotn foothills.

The air temperature will gradually decrease by 4-6 degrees on the night of August 8-11, and by 2-4 degrees during August 9-11.
