Vahagn Khachaturyan left for Turkmenistan

President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan will pay a working visit to Turkmenistan from August 4 to 7, 2025, to participate in the Third International Conference on Landlocked and Transit Developing Countries, which is being held under the auspices of the United Nations.

The conference is organized once every decade and aims to summarize the results of previous programs, as well as set new development guidelines for landlocked developing countries (LLDCs).

Bilateral meetings of the President of the Republic with several foreign partners are also planned.

During the first conference held in Almaty, Kazakhstan in 2003, the Almaty Action Plan was adopted, and in 2014, the Vienna Action Plan (2014-2024) was adopted in Vienna, Austria. These initiatives have played an essential role in alleviating trade and economic problems of transit countries and developing infrastructure.

The agenda of the third conference in Turkmenbashi includes issues such as developing transit and transport links, expanding digital connectivity, strengthening climate stability, increasing economic resilience, and encouraging international investment.
