On July 29-31, short-term rain and thunderstorms are expected in separate regions, with hail also possible on the afternoons of August 1 and 2.
The wind is westerly, 2-5 m/s, during thunderstorms, and wind gusts are expected to reach 17-20 m/s. On July 30-31, in the evenings of August 1-2, in Armavir, in the foothills of Kotayk and Aragatsotn, wind gusts are expected to reach 15-18 m/s. The air temperature is expected to rise by another 2-3 degrees in the afternoon of July 28 and on July 29.
No precipitation is expected in Yerevan on July 29. Short-term rain and thunderstorms are expected on July 30-31, August 1-2. During the thunderstorm and in the evening hours, the wind speed is also expected to increase to 16-19 m/s.
Due to the penetration of a tropical warm air wave from the south, on July 29-31, August 1-2, a high thermal background is expected in the Ararat Valley, the foothills of Vayots Dzor, the Syunik valley zone, and Yerevan. Between 16:00 and 17:00, the daytime temperature will be +38 to +40 degrees. A high fire hazard situation is also expected in the mentioned areas, as well as in the foothills of Aragatsotn and Kotayk, for the next 5 days.
