Andreasyan presented the directions of development of the cultural sector in Greece

Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, Zhanna Andreasyan, met with Minister of Culture of the Hellenic Republic, Stiliani (Lina) Mendoni, at the National Gallery of Greece.

Zhanna Andreasyan expressed gratitude for the warm reception, emphasizing that the friendly relations and historical commonalities formed between Armenia and Greece are a solid basis for strengthening and expanding cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of culture.

Minister Zhanna Andreasyan presented the main directions of cultural sphere development, emphasizing the importance of implementing joint programs in various areas.

The parties emphasized that there is great potential for mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, expressing their readiness to expand bilateral ties through joint programs.

During the meeting, issues related to exchange programs in the field of culture, inter-museum cooperation, the organization of cultural days in both countries, joint exhibitions, film production projects, the exchange of experiences in the preservation of cultural heritage, and management were discussed.

The meeting was followed by the signing of documents on cooperation in the cultural field. In particular, a cooperation program in the field of culture, an agreement on the prevention of illicit circulation of cultural values, a memorandum of cooperation between the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra and the Thessaloniki Megaron Concert Hall, and a memorandum of cooperation between the Armenian Cinema Foundation and the Greek Cinema Center were signed.

Ministers Zhanna Andreasyan and Stiliani (Lina) Mendoni expressed confidence that the signed documents will breathe new life into the strengthening of Armenia-Greece cultural ties and open new horizons of cooperation.

Several other issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
