High temperatures are expected: temperatures will reach up to 40 degrees

The “Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center” SNCO reports:

“Due to the penetration of a tropical warm air wave from the south, a high thermal background is expected in the Ararat Valley, Syunik Valley, and Yerevan on July 21-23. During the daytime between 16:00 and 17:00, the temperature will be +38...+40 degrees. A high fire hazard situation is also expected in the mentioned areas for the next 5 days.

In Yerevan, short-term rain and thunderstorms are possible in separate parts of the city on July 18-20 in the evening. No precipitation is expected on July 21-23. In the evening and during thunderstorms, wind gusts of 15-18 m/s are expected.

In the regions, on July 18, 19, and 20 in the afternoon, on the night of 21-22, and in the afternoon, short-term rain and thunderstorms are expected in separate regions, on July 19-20 in separate areas - heavy rain, possible hail. On July 23, no precipitation is expected.

Wind: Western 2-5 m/s. During thunderstorms, wind gusts are expected to reach 17-20 m/s. On July 18-23, in the evening hours, wind gusts are expected to reach 15-18 m/s in the Armavir, Kotayk, and Aragatsotn foothills.

The air temperature will rise by 2-4 degrees on July 21-23.
