Issues related to the development of Armenia-US relations were discussed in Washington

Members of the Armenia-US Friendship Group of the RA NA, who are in Washington on a working visit, met with representatives of several reputable analytical and think tanks.

The delegation met with Corey Welt, Deputy Director of the US Congressional Research Center's Russia and European Affairs team, and Sarah Harding, Analyst for European Affairs, to discuss Armenia-US relations and regional issues.

Armenia's foreign policy priorities and the details of the peace process with Azerbaijan were discussed with John Herbst, Senior Director of the Eurasia Center at the Atlantic Council, and the center's analysts.

At the meeting with Stephen Nix, the Senior Director for Eurasia of the US International Republican Institute (IRI), the deputies of the National Assembly highlighted the cooperation between the International Republican Institute and the parliament, expressing hope that these programs would continue.

The delegation also met with Brian Arduni, Executive Director of the Armenian Assembly of America. During the meeting, the development of Armenia-US relations, the role of the Armenian community in the United States, and issues related to the involvement of organizations were discussed.

At the meeting with Steve Beckerman, Director of Policy and Government Relations of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), and Marvin Foyer, Director of Policy and Strategic Affairs, the security situation in the South Caucasus and the Middle East was discussed, and issues related to Armenia-US and Armenia-Israel relations were discussed.

At the meeting with Jason Isaacson, Director of Political Affairs of the American Jewish Committee (AJC), and committee members, the deputies of the National Assembly presented the peculiarities of Armenia's foreign policy and the nature of Armenia-Israel relations.

At the meeting with Miriam Lansko, Director of the Eurasian Region of the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), and experts, the programs implemented by the foundation in Armenia and issues related to the development of democratic institutions were discussed.

The deputies presented the process of democratic reforms in Armenia and the US support for that process to Joshua Russell, Policy Analyst at the Open Society Foundation (OSF).
