On June 30, at 12:53 local time (08:53 GMT), the seismological network of the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs recorded an earthquake of magnitude 3.9 at a depth of 10 km in the Iran-Turkey border zone, 28 km north of the city of Maku, with geographical coordinates of 39.54⁰ north latitude and 44.52⁰ east longitude.
The intensity of the tremor in the epicenter zone was 5 points.
The earthquake was felt in Ararat Province with a magnitude of 4 points, in the villages of Yelpin and Chiva in Vayots Dzor Province with a magnitude of 3 points, as well as in Yerevan City with a magnitude of 2-3 points.
