The chairman of the "For the Republic" party, Arman Babajanyan, and a group of supporters held a protest near the National Assembly against Valentina Matvienko, the chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, 's visit.
He noted that the action aims to show that Armenia does not consider Russia an ally and that Moscow is waging a hybrid war against Armenia. Babajanyan announced that from now on, they will greet all high-ranking Russian officials with similar actions, as they had done previously in the case of the Russian Foreign Minister.
During the action, a scuffle broke out between a police officer and Arman Babajanyan.
