Rumors have spread on social networks that, at the initiative of the Armenian side, the visit to Tsitsernakaberd was removed from the program of the visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to Armenia.
"Armenpress" asked for clarification from the RA Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ani Badalyan, who denied the news.
"During the development of the program of the working visit of the Russian Foreign Minister, the Russian side informed that Minister Lavrov will visit Victory Park in connection with the anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, and a wreath will be sent to Tsitsernakaberd on behalf of the Russian Foreign Minister. In the case of working visits, such components in the program are included at the initiative of the visiting side. The Armenian side has provided all the necessary protocol and preparatory work for the mentioned components of the visit program," the RA Foreign Ministry Spokesperson noted.
