Armenia will establish a visa-free regime for several countries. Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan reported on the draft at today's Government session.
Thus, a visa-free regime for visits to the Republic of Armenia will be established for citizens of the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Sultanate of Oman, as well as foreigners with residence status in the territory of the United States of America, European Union countries, Schengen countries, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Qatar, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Kuwait or the Sultanate of Oman.
"Economic considerations justified the need for this change. It is obvious that with this change, we will facilitate both people's visits to our country and contacts between our citizens and increase investment attractiveness," Mirzoyan noted.
Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan noted that this will also stimulate tourism.
