On May 20, at 10:11 local time (06:11 GMT), the seismological network of the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs recorded a magnitude 2.9 earthquake at a depth of 10 km, 8 km southeast of the village of Bavra, in the Armenia-Georgia border zone, with geographical coordinates of 41.08⁰ north latitude and 43.88⁰ east longitude.
The intensity of the tremor in the epicenter zone was 4 points.
The earthquake was felt in the villages of Bavra, Saragyugh, and Ashotsk of Shirak region with a magnitude of 2-3 points.
