On May 10, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan and Head of the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Armenia, EU Ambassador Vasilis Maragos, participated and delivered opening remarks at the official event dedicated to Europe Day held at Freedom Square. The RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported this.
In his speech, Robert Abisoghomonyan reaffirmed the Armenian government's commitment to further developing relations with the EU and highlighted the clear determination of the EU and its member states to continue deepening cooperation with Armenia.
The Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia emphasized that the EU is Armenia's leading partner in effectively implementing democratic reforms, strengthening the rule of law, protecting human rights, deepening sectoral cooperation, modernizing the economy, and increasing the country's resilience.
The festive event was held under the title "EU-Armenia: A Cultural Bridge" with the participation of music and dance ensembles from the EU member states and Armenia. Information pavilions on EU-supported projects implemented in various regions of Armenia and EU member states were presented at Freedom Square.
