RA Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan and Georgian First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili, participated in the Armenia-Georgia Business Forum in Yerevan.
“Further expansion and deepening of relations with Georgia is one of the important priorities of Armenia’s foreign policy. Deepening relations between Armenia and Georgia in the political, economic, communication, cultural, humanitarian, and tourism spheres is of mutual vital importance, and improving communication channels is of strategic importance for Armenia,” noted Gevorg Papoyan, welcoming the forum participants.
Gevorg Papoyan, in particular, pointed out industry, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, information and communication, transport, energy, tourism, and several other sectors as the most promising areas for developing cooperation.
In his speech, the Minister also discussed the RA Government’s “Crossroads of Peace” project, which can become a more effective path for regional and economic cooperation.
