A working consultation was held under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, on the implementation of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the Republic of Armenia and the European Union and the programs implemented within the framework of the RA-EU cooperation.
Representatives of the Republic of Armenia's executive and legislative authorities and responsible officials involved in the framework of the RA-EU partnership participated in the discussion. During the consultation, Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan presented the work carried out towards implementing the CEPA, the progress recorded, and the process of reforms implemented in several areas. In particular, references were made to legislative reforms, improvement of the governance system, and projects initiated in justice, human rights, economic competitiveness, environmental protection, and the digital sphere.
Issues related to the approved schedule for implementing the Agreement were discussed, and positive results have already been recorded in certain areas. Key examples of cooperation were presented, including the advancement of the justice reform agenda, the modernization of the public administration toolkit, the programs implemented to combat corruption, and the introduction of digital solutions.
During the discussion, the strategic importance of implementing the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement was emphasized, emphasizing that it is key to Armenia-European Union partnership relations.
The Prime Minister instructed the responsible departments to consistently implement the commitments and programs stipulated by the Agreement, ensure transparency in their implementation, and improve the public presentation of progress and results.
