On May 2, RA Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan received a delegation of more than a dozen businesspeople who had arrived in Armenia from Lyon, France.
During the meeting, the French businessmen presented their areas of activity and expressed interest in investing in Armenia and forming mutually beneficial partnerships.
Minister Gevorg Papoyan presented Armenia's investment policy, the legislative framework conducive to investments, and the tools supporting business. "Armenia is on the path of diversifying the economy and developing several strategic sectors. One of our priorities is to promote foreign investments by forming a more favorable, flexible, and predictable business environment. We are interested in close cooperation, especially with French partners, and are ready to discuss the possibilities of implementing investment programs of mutual interest," the Minister noted.
Deputy Ministers of Economy Edgar Zakaryan, Lilya Sirakanian, and Narek Hovakimyan attended the meeting.
The Armenian-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFA) initiated the delegation's visit.
