Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II, accompanied by clergy, visited Tsitsernakaberd today to pray at the eternal fire.
In a briefing with journalists, His Holiness announced today that we commemorate the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, the pain of the genocidal acts committed against our people in Artsakh, and the losses of Artsakh in our hearts.
“On this sacred hill of Tsitsernakaberd, together with our clergy and our children, we raised a prayer to God, that the Lord may strengthen our people to turn the pain and suffering of their souls into strength, to overcome the difficulties in our lives and to build our homeland with new achievements, to build the bright and enlightened life of our people. May God be our helper and protector on the sacred path of our nation, our mission of homeland building,” he said.
