Deputy Director of the Center for Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Gagik Surenyan wrote on his social media page:
“Due to the activity of an active cyclone, heavy rains were observed throughout the republic yesterday. In some parts of the Ararat Valley, 50-60 percent of the monthly norm fell. Today, during the day and the coming night, the cyclone’s influence will persist throughout Armenia, resulting in thunderstorms being observed occasionally in all regions. Tomorrow, during the day, the cyclone will lose its strength, and short-term rains will occur only in the northern regions of the republic.”
