Nikol Pashinyan sent a telegram of condolences on the death of the Pope of Rome
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has sent a telegram of condolences to Cardinal Giovanni Battista Rei, Dean of the Congregation of Cardinals of the Holy See, on the death of His Holiness Pope Francis. The telegram of condolences states:
“Your Eminence, with deep sorrow, I received the news of the death of His Holiness Pope Francis. On behalf of the people of Armenia and me, please accept our deepest condolences.
His Holiness’s outstanding leadership and efforts in promoting peace, spreading universal values, establishing solidarity between peoples, and protecting human rights and freedoms are invaluable.
Pope Francis will remain in our memories as a pioneer of mercy and humanitarian ideas whose constant attention was paid to peace and stability in the South Caucasus. We deeply share the grief of believers worldwide over this significant loss.”
