April 15th is World Art Day

April 15 is World Art Day, within the framework of which a number of events are planned, the Ministry of Education and Culture of Armenia reports.

A plein air will be held in the open-air area of ​​the Artists' Union of Armenia from 15:00 to 17:00 with the participation of students of the Panos Terlemezyan State College of Fine Arts, and at 17:00 a film dedicated to Khachatur Azizyan will be shown at the Artists' Union of Armenia.

On the same day, an open-air class will be held in the area adjacent to the National Center of Aesthetics with the participation of students of the Henrik Igityan National Center of Aesthetics and the "Special Children's Creative Center" SNCO. An exhibition will also be held in the same center, which will be open to the public.

During the day, painting classes will also be organized at Yerevan Art and Fine Arts Schools.

World Art Day was officially adopted by UNESCO in 2019, at the 40th session of the UNESCO General Conference. The day is celebrated around the world with various events: exhibitions, open studios, theatrical performances, concerts, workshops, etc.
