The RA Ministry of Defense reports that the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense’s statement that from the evening of April 6 to 04:30 on April 7, units of the RA Armed Forces opened fire on Azerbaijani positions located in the eastern and southeastern sectors of the border zone does not correspond to reality.
It should be recalled that the Staff of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia proposed creating a joint Armenia-Azerbaijan mechanism for investigating cases of ceasefire violations and/or information about them, to which Azerbaijan has not responded.
The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia reaffirms that, according to the position of the Staff of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, it is ready to investigate the facts substantiating the statement of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense in case they are transferred to the Republic of Armenia.
