Earthquake in Northern Armenia

On April 1, at 13:56 local time (09:56 GMT), the seismological network of the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia recorded a magnitude 3.5 earthquake at a depth of 10 km, 13 km southeast of the village of Bavra, in the Armenia-Georgia border zone, with geographical coordinates of 41.10⁰ north latitude and 43.96⁰ east longitude.

The earthquake's intensity in the epicenter zone was 4-5 points.

The earthquake was felt in the city of Gyumri in the Shirak region, in the villages of Bavra, Saragyugh, Tavshut, Ghazanchi, Musayelyan, and Amasia with a magnitude of 3 points, and the city of Tashir in the Lori region with a magnitude of 2-3 points.
