The Government of the Republic of Armenia decided to open the Margara border crossing with Turkey from March 21 to 31. The goal is to send humanitarian cargo to Syria through Turkey's territory.
"The adoption of this draft decision is conditioned by the need to transport humanitarian aid cargo to be sent to the Syrian Arab Republic on behalf of the Republic of Armenia via land via the territory of Turkey.
Adopting this draft will create an opportunity to deliver humanitarian aid cargo to the Syrian Arab Republic on behalf of the Republic of Armenia more quickly and at lower costs," the justification for the decision states.
