The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry has spread another piece of disinformation, the RA Defense Ministry reports.
"The statement of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry that on March 20, between 12:30 and 15:15, the RA Armed Forces opened fire on Azerbaijani positions located in the eastern and southeastern sectors of the border zone does not correspond to reality.
It should be recalled that the Staff of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia proposed creating a joint Armenia-Azerbaijan mechanism for investigating cases of ceasefire violations and/or information about them, to which Azerbaijan has not responded.
The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia reaffirms that, in accordance with the position of the RA Prime Minister's Staff, it is ready to investigate the facts substantiating the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry's statement, provided that they are transferred to the RA.
"As of now, the Republic of Azerbaijan has not transmitted to the Republic of Armenia any factual data or justification for the violation of the ceasefire regime by units of the RA Armed Forces," the statement says.
