"The Armenian side did not open fire on Azerbaijani positions." RA Ministry of Defense
The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry has again spread disinformation, the RA Defense Ministry reports.
“The statement of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry that on March 19, at around 14:15, the RA Armed Forces opened fire on Azerbaijani positions located in the eastern part of the border zone does not correspond to reality.
It should be recalled that the staff of the prime minister of the Republic of Armenia proposed to create a joint Armenia-Azerbaijan mechanism for investigating cases of ceasefire violations and/or information about them, to which Azerbaijan has not responded to this date.
The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia reaffirms that, in accordance with the position of the Prime Minister's Staff, it is ready to investigate the facts substantiating the statement of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry, provided that they are transferred to the RA.
At the moment, the Republic of Azerbaijan has not transferred any factual data or justification of the ceasefire violations by the RA Armed Forces to the Republic of Armenia,” the statement says.
