The Ministry of Defense denied Azerbaijan's statement about violating the ceasefire regime.
The statement of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense that from 22:20 on March 18 to 01:40 on March 19, units of the Armenian Armed Forces opened fire on Azerbaijani positions located in the eastern and southeastern sectors of the border zone does not correspond to reality.
It should be recalled that the Staff of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia proposed creating a joint Armenia-Azerbaijan mechanism for investigating cases of ceasefire violations and/or information about them, to which Azerbaijan has not responded.
The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia reaffirms that, by the position of the Staff of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, it is ready to investigate the facts substantiating the statement of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense, provided that they are transmitted to the Republic of Armenia.
At the moment, the Republic of Azerbaijan has not transmitted to the Republic of Armenia any factual data or justification of the ceasefire violations by units of the Armenian Armed Forces.
