The statement of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense that on March 18, at around 08:55, the RA Armed Forces opened fire on Azerbaijani positions located in the eastern part of the border zone does not correspond to reality.
It should be recalled that the Staff of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia proposed creating a joint Armenia-Azerbaijan mechanism for investigating cases of ceasefire violations and/or information about them, to which Azerbaijan has not responded.
The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia reaffirms that, by the position of the Staff of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, it is ready to investigate the facts substantiating the statement of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense, provided that they are transferred to the Republic of Armenia.
Currently, the Republic of Azerbaijan has not transferred any factual data or justification of the ceasefire violations by the RA Armed Forces to the Republic of Armenia.
