A media tour with the participation of Turkish media representatives took place

On the initiative of the Public Relations and Information Center of the Prime Minister’s Office of the Republic of Armenia and coordinated by the “Orbeli” Analytical Center, a media tour with the participation of representatives of 10 Turkish media outlets was held on March 10-12. The goal of the event was to present to the Turkish public, as directly and in detail as possible, Armenia’s approaches and positions on the establishment of stable peace in the region and the normalization of Armenia-Turkey relations, as well as to create partnership relations with leading Turkish media outlets.

Within the framework of the media tour program, media representatives had interviews and discussions with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, several officials, and representatives of the expert community.

The media tour participants visited the “Margara” checkpoint on the Armenia-Turkey state border, where they got acquainted with the capabilities of the checkpoint to be put into operation.

The program also had a cultural component, during which the participants got acquainted with the Armenian manuscripts of the Matenadaran, the heritage of Armenian carpet weaving, and the traditions of winemaking and brandy-making.
