A "Grand Parade of the Planets" is expected on February 28th

A "parade of planets" is a beautiful observational phenomenon that occurs when several planets are simultaneously aligned on the same side of the Sun. On February 28, 2025, immediately after sunset, the inhabitants of planet Earth will be able to see the "parade" of seven planets: Mars, Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune, Venus, Saturn, and Mercury, the Byurakan Observatory reports.

Mars, Venus, and Jupiter will be visible to the naked eye, but observational devices will be needed to study them in more detail. "Parade of planets" is not an official astronomical term; it is also called "planetary alignment"." According to astronomers, the alignment of the seven planets is a very rare phenomenon, and such great alignments will not occur until 2040.

It should also be noted that the "parade of planets" will be visible almost everywhere in the evening. Still, February 28, 2025, is a standard date when this phenomenon will be well visible in many places worldwide. The "parade" will be visible several days before and after February 28.
